“ For what it's worth I usually do not leave reviews. I ordered this for lunch just thinking it would be average pizza. I travel for work and this was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The owners *i assume* were working the front and offered me paper plates and your usual cheese and peppers. 10/10 ”
“ Delicious thin crust huge pizza! Great topping. Choices, happy hour draft beer and slice pizza! Usually 4-6 types of pizza by the slice available. Friendly staff ”
“ Visiting From Alabama and I must say the pizza was AMAZING! Ordered a bbq chicken pizza ( my fav) and it was so fresh and delicious. ”
“ Grabbed a slice of pizza for lunch here and it was delicious! Great, crispy crust. But the best part was the salad I took to go to have for dinner. The salad was huge and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. ”
“ Great option for a family with varied dietary restrictions - something delicious for everyone! Vegetarian, gluten free vegetarian, hot wings, plain cheese, pepperoni or Margherita; everything was fabulous. The meatball sub looked amazing too - maybe next time. So happy to find this gem in Basalt while visiting there. Ordered twice in less than a week & they’ll definitely get our business the next time we’re lucky enough to visit this beautiful area!! ”
“ If cheers was a pizza place! You will feel like a local even if you're only in town long enough for a slice. And if you are local they recognize you fast. ”
“ I lived in Manhattan for four years, so I know New York pizza intimately. But this pizzeria in this tiny mountain town in Colorado makes as good or better pizza than New York...or anywhere (except maybe Rome.) I discovered New York Pizza grocery shopping at El Jebel City Market next to Willits Town Center where I live in the summer. I noticed on Friday nights a line to pay almost reached the front door. I had to explore. Well, I discovered it's one of the most fun places in Basalt. Forget Zane's Tavern. This is THE place. Sports on multiple TV screens. Plenty of tables inside AND outside to enjoy the food. Plenty of beer. This place is hoppin' on weekends. The pizza is...phenomenal, especially if you eat in and get the pie steaming hot straight from the oven to your table. A thin but yeasty, crunchy crust serves as the foundation. We are carnivores so we had the all-meat pizza called the works. Pepperoni, sausage and Canadian bacon mix it up with mushrooms, onions, green peppers and black olives, all buried under a blanket of melted mozzarella. But you can build you own pizza; there are 23 choices including artichoke hearts and red or yellow onions. (Picky, picky!) To me the best thing to order is their chicken wings. City Market next door sells great chicken wings at half the price. But I would still pay full price (12 wings for 19) for these. Juicy, sweet, just greasy enough. There are eight sauces ranging from sweet (Carolina Gold) to burn your mouth hot (honey sriracha, habanero or ring of fire.) Surprisingly, everyone seemed to be leaving with one Philly cheesesteak sandwich. They must be good. The NYP burger uses local Colorado beef. This is a ranching county so I trust the beef. That's on my list for next time. You can even order fried dough, cheesy or sweet. There is plenty of parking since it's the main parking lot for the big supermarket in town. There's also a New York Pizza in Aspen and Carbondale. They are on my list for next summer. What a joy when a local restaurant in a strip shopping center serves glorious food! ”
“ Great food, enthusiastic and entertaining staff. Great price point for lunch, 2 huge slices for 5-6 bucks each. ”
